1906 Race Riot Tour – Seeking to broaden public awareness of this significant event, the Georgia State University professor Clifford Kuhn designed a walking tour of downtown Atlanta, covering sites associated with the race riot (or, as he prefers to say, the “white riot”). Originally created for the centennial of the event, the tour has been conducted by Kuhn hundreds of times since then for groups of local residents, educators, and tourists, and he continues to offer it on the second Sunday of every month
