Killed July 14th, 1914. Bailey had been accused of stealing three mules. The coroner’s jury ruled his death occurred ‘at the hands of parties unknown’ after less than a day of investigation. No information is offered as to the targets of Bailey’s alleged theft, whether or not a warrant had been issued for his arrest, or whether he was already in police custody at the time of the lynching.
